Mommy's heartbeat!

I felt Mommy's heartbeat again today! At first I didn't know what the nurse was doing to me so I cried...but then I felt it. It was such a familiar sound but I couldn't place it at first. Then I heard her and I knew what it was....Mommy's heartbeat! I calmed down instantly...I tried looking to see what she looked like, but all I saw was shadows. I heard someone else talking too, the voice was deeper. That must have been Daddy, I like the sound of Daddy's voice too!

I still weigh 550 grams. They bumped me up to day 6 of feeding which means more food every 2 hours! So far I've still been keping it all down...I still need to make a poop on my own though. Hopefully that will happen tonight.

The day nurse tried taking me off the C-Pap today, but I wasn't cooperating with her. I knew that Mommy and Daddy weren't coming until later today so I waited until they came. Once they came I was put on the nasal canula and I did a great job on it! Mommy saved me from having some Bradys tonight too. I wish she could save me from them all of the time...she's so much more gentle than some of the nurses!

Hi Jamison,

I knew you would love being in your mommy's arms! Isn't it the best feeling ever?...it's very calming to for me to be close to my mommy, too! Wait until you can suck on your fingers - that's another good way to calm down...and it's pretty yummy!

Love,
Cole

What a beautiful family!!! I am so happy for you all- especially Mommy. I can't imagine how difficiult it must be to have to watch Jamison go through all of this without having been able to hold her. I'm soooo glad you two are getting a chance to bond. I'm confident it will make the recovery all the more rapid.

Hi Jamison,

I'm so glad that your Mommy got to hold you again. You continue to gain the weight and make your stinky poops and before you know it, you'll be home with your big sisters. You don't know me yet, but I'm a friend of your Oma and I keep on praying for all of you so that you can continue to grow big and strong and keep on sharing your wonderful sense of humor. All my best!

Jamison; If any of those nurses are not gentle with you, you just let me know. I have friends in Low Places and they'll fix things up pronto.

See you soon.
