A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah: A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah!

A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah: A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah! I can't get that out of my head! Mommy was singing some kind of crazy song to me while she was holding me today! All I remember about it is A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah: A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah! I guess when I'm older I'll know what it is that she was singing....Oh, she was also singing some song where she kept on repeating "Far Away, Far Away!". I think I like my Daddy's lullabyes better (shhh, don't tell Mommy!)!

I'm doing very good today! They put the nasal canual agian on me, that was much sooner than I expected! The most annoying thing is, none of the equipment they have, fit me! It's all the smallest they have, but it's still too big for me! They should make "extreme micro premie" equipment, sheesh, there's enough of us here! Anywho, I weigh 1lb 12oz today! Only 4 more ounces to go, oh yeah! And, I did awesome on the nasal cannula, I went for 3.5 hours on it! They're going to put it on me again for a little bit tomorow, but this time longer provided I'm tolerating it well!

Daddy saw me tonight! Nurse Patty was telling him how well I was doing today. When he was leaving he noticed that I was crying...he brought it to Nurse Patty's attention. All of my levels (oxygen, heart and respiratory rates) were looking good so he didn't know why I was crying. Nurse Patty told Daddy that it was because I was a baby and babies cry. But this has not been my normal behavior, I usually make one of my levels alarm to let the Drs and nurses know something is wrong. But what it turns out is that I'm starting to let them know something is wrong, just like full term babies do, by crying! Nurse Patty said it looked like I was crying because I was working on a poop, but I know I was crying because Daddy was leaving and I didn't want him too :(
A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah: A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah! A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah: A-ah A-a-a-a-a-ah!

Morning Jamison,

Good for you,so glad to hear you were on the breathing thingie for so long....and WOW 2 more ounces. You are doing great!

Are you telling me Mommy is already teaching you the song! You'll learn, there are certain songs that are a tradition in our family...started by Big PopPop - you haven't met him yet, but you will soon - Sounds like Mommy has already started singing you the most important one. We'll have to confirm that when you can remember some of the words.

Love,Aunt Deb

Way to go Jamison!! I love reading how well you're doing. You are so strong and soon enough you will be soo big that mommy and daddy will be saying how they can't believe you were once soo small. Stay strong and keep this wonderful progress up! Love Jenn & Mariah

Hello sweetheart! I missed you last night, but I'll be by to see you tonight. I too know that song (not as well as your mommy does though). I especially like the one Big Pop-pop sings about the falling star! Maybe mommy will sing that one to you also. Sleep well, cry often (for no reason other than you need a diaper change, or just because!) and grow big.
I love you,
Oma
XOXOXOXO

Good morning Jamison,

You can cry all you want to, sometimes that's what us girls do and believe it or not, there doesn't actually need to be a reason for crying - you just do!

Keep on growing baby girl and continue to be strong! I so look forward to finally meeting you.

Hi Jamison

I always hear you speak of Nasal Cannoli's but, I'm not sure what they are. I've eaten alot of Italian pasteries & cannoli's galore but I don't remember ever having a nasal cannoli. Do they taste good? Where can I get some? Please don't tell me in Courtney Land.
Speaking of your dad & music. I know why you were crying. You found out that he does not like ELVIS. I'm going to let the cat out of the bag. He doesn't like Country music either. Don't worry there's enough of us around to lead you down the straight arrow.

Will always love you;
Poppy

Hi Jamison;
Don't worry about crying. It happens to the best of us, even me. I remember one time that I fell down an "skinned my knee". I started crying and my dad asked me what was wrong. I showed him my "skinned knee" and he put some iodine on it. Then I really started crying - that iodine really stings. Luckly, modern day medicine has come a long way and antiseptics don't "smart" too much (it's good for kids too). You know, I seem to remember your Grandfather shedding a few tears after I "knuckled his head" and he's pretty brave. So, I guess crying ain't all that bad after all. At any rate, if you want to "cry" you just go ahead. If anybody says anything you just tell them that "Great Uncle Joe" still remembers how to "knuckle heads". Remember, "crying" is okay; "whinning" is a "no-no".
Love,
G.Uncle Joe
