Fun Weekend!

This weekend was much more exciting than last weekend!

On Friday Nurse Patty said that Keri could change my diaper! I let her get away with an easy one, there was just some pee-pee when she changed me. On Saturday, Courtney got to change my diaper! Ha-ha, when I was in Mommy's belly, I used to hear Courtney talk about the bathroom all the time...so I figured if she talks about the bathroom then she must like poo! And boy did I give her some poo! Not only did I leave her with a poopy diaper, but while she was changing me, I went poo again! Ha-ha-ha, we were all laughing about that!

On Saturday Mommy AND Daddy got to hold me. I started out by being kangaroo held, but I wasn't liking that too much. Nurse Patty then wrapped me up in a blanket...I was happy after that! Mommy held me first and Nurse Patty said that she would take a family picture with ALL of us! I like Nurse Patty too, she's another one of my primary nurses now. After Mommy held me Daddy got to hold me for a little bit...he smells so nice! I can't wait until they can hold me again!

(Sorry that you can't really see us in the picture Daddy, I promise, the next one will be better! I forgot to use the flash!)

Today I weigh 750 grams (1lb 10oz)! I'm being fed my 9ccs over the course of one hour now. The Drs and nurses noticed that after I was fed, I was working real hard to breathe. So they experimented with some things and they found that with this method of feeding I was the most relaxed and comfortable. The added volume of food was just too much for my belly to handle at once.
On Friday they took a scan of my brain to look for blood clots. It came back negative, AGAIN! I say again because this was my third one over the course of my life and all the scans have come back negative. I'm scheduled for my first eye exam next week. They're going to look for blood here too...wish me luck for that test!

(You can't really see me in this picture, but I'm there, Mommy is holding me!)

Please pass this on to your Poppy. I know how you feel, I felt the same way watching my premature grandson as he made progress in the NICU. Hope it won't be long before we get to meet you and your family.

Hi Jamison;
Well, as usual, I'm glad to hear that things are going well with you. Did you know that I was a "Preme" too? Us "preme's" are the best looking, smartest and most atheletic of any family. If you don't believe me go back to "statement one" and think of "Great Uncle Joe". "Nuff said"? Of course "modesty" must be interjected with your in-born talents. I mean, you don't want folks thinking that your an "egotist" do you?
I check your Web site everyday and really enjoy hearing from you. Keep up the good work.
Love,
Great Uncle Joe

Hi Jamison!

You're doing a really good job with your peepee and poopy diapers! Make sure you keep it up b/c I know that your mommy and daddy will want to see lots of dirty diapers - my mommy and daddy always tell me I did I good job when I make a big poopy! I don't know why, but making a big stinky diaper is an easy way to please your parents!

That's really cool that your daddy got to hold you, too...feels different from mommy's touch but just as nice, huh?

Hope we can meet soon!

Love,
Cole

P.S. I like the picture of you with your family!

Morning Jamison;

I was down the shore for the weekend so I missed talking to you. You'll learn about the shore when you get a little bigger, the mountains too....Oma and Poppy have a great mountain house that I'm sure you'll get to go to alot! Your sisters did a great job in changing your diapers! The will be a big help to Mommy and Daddy when you come home...which if you keep eating and gaining weight the way you are...shouldn't be too long in the future. Congrats on the good brain scan...I'm sure you'll do great on the eye scan as well! Keep up the good work sweetie!

Good Morning Angel Girl,

I'm so glad that I was able to visit with you on Sunday! It amazes me still how tiny you are - you truly are a miracle!

Keep trying to do those somersaults, next time mommy and I will make sure the mean nurse isn't there to push on your wee little butt : )

Keep up the good work and before you know it you'll be home with your family!!

Love you!!

Hi Jamison

Oma & I were in to see you yesterday. Boy or should I say girl, were you wide awake. That's the most we've seen your eyes open since you were born. I guess you heard my voice & wanted to see if I was as good looking as they say. Well, the prove is in the pudding. Speaking of eyes, did you know that the size of your eyes now will be the same as when your 20 years old. It's a fact, you can look it up. Well Jamison, I hope to see you later today. If you have any questions about anything you can ask me, because I'm KOAT.

Will love you always,
Poppy
