Let me begin by saying that I'm not going to brag anymore about how well I'm doing. Why? Because the day after I brag, I revert back to the way things were before...example: the nasal canula was off, then back on the next day...I switched to the regular flow nipple, then barely feeding from the bottle at all.
That's what the deal was yesterday. I had a tough time eating from the bottle. I kept on desating and would Brady, I just couldn't do it. I'd like to say it
was because I wasn't feeling well because of the shot I got the day before, but that's not really it. The nurse said that I have a common dilemma for preemies in what I'd like to call "Suck-alot-n-poop"! (I can't remember the medical term, something like gastroblahblah reflux). It is just what it says it is...when ever I suck from the bottle, I have to poop. The sucking stimulates my bowels and I can't figure out how to eat and poop at the same time. I don't think it can be done! I hope to out grow this...if not, I don't think I'll be going out on too many dinner dates when I'm older! Dad may be happy about that though ;) Anyway, I asked mommy and daddy not to take a picture of me like that, I'm not at my cutest...
Ok, so it doesn't happen at every feed because I can manage to get some milk down at times but it hasn't happen lately. Oh and another thing...I'm supossed to be sleeping all the time now. That's one of the reasons why they moved me to North. It's much more quiet without all the beeps and the quietness is to help me sleep so I can focus on growing! So that's what I'm going to do this weekend...sleep, grow and suck-alot-n-poop!

Hello, you are doing great!! Don't let these little things get you down.
Morning Jamison,
Suck-a-lot-n-poop....kind of catchy isn't it. You know, Big PopPop can probably put those words to music, he has that knack! You do what you gotta do to keep on moving...remember, you may have a set back now and then, but in the end it gets you to the same place...home! Have a great weekend little one.
Love, Aunt Deb
Hello pumkin. You can brag all you want. You're still doing very well and pretty soon you'll be able to do it all. Sleep well sweetheart. I love you.

Hi Little One;
Don't think of it as a "set back". Think of it as a little more practice at what you're doing. And just remember, "practice makes perfect".
I mailed Uncle John's sweater today and you should get it in about a week. I told your mom to air it out real good because, as it's real wool (the kind sheep wear) I kept it in moth balls (I wonder if sheep have moth balls in their cote?). When you get older I'm sure someone will tell you all about Uncle John and you'll learn why we keep his sweater in the family.
Love,
G.U.Joe & G.A.Dee
